11:05 am - Free Legal Downloadable Dark Knight Script
As part of their Oscar Bid, I'm assuming, Warner Brothers is offering the Dark Knight script in PDF. Just click on the word script at this site. DK Script. You can then just save it to PDF. It's an impressive script - very little has been changed from the movie.
And, no, this is not a Rickroll.

06:55 pm - Comic Book Geeks for Obama!
Dreamland seems to offer the best price, even better than what we've seen on ebay.
In other news, we have pretty much stopped reading DC Comics other than the titles featuring Kent's namesake. Watching DC lose itself in in a spiral of killing and unkilling foundation characters in a way that completely exhausts the drama and pathos of their deaths - and in forcing the few unmolested ones to behave in ways inconsistent with their characters - is depressing and frustrating. It's like standing there helplessly while a loved one drinks or drugs himself to death and we just can't do it anymore.
We have found excitment in two Image titles: Invincible and Firebreather. They're well-written, exquisitely drawn and feature vibrant, original characters. They're worth checking out.
Be well, all.

The art is glorious - and no initial missteps have been taken. I just hope they don't mess up what could be a wonderful second run.

09:48 am - New Comic Book fanfiction site - Vanguard Comics
Vanguard Comics - some old fanfiction hands now putting together a new site - is looking for writers (and readers, of course). They cover DC, Marvel, Dark Horse and other independents and do crossovers and independent stuff.
Here's the link for anyone who's interested: Vanguard Comics.
Also want to heartily recommend the Roy's Toys fanfiction site for any Roy Harper fans out there. It's very well done (and thanks to gottaluvit for turning me on to it). Roy's Toys.
Hope everyone has a terrific week!
